Over the last three decades Christian Baskous (AEA / SAG -AFTRA) has acted in movies (Glory, Brighton Beach Memoirs); TV (Legwork, Swift Justice, Law and Order, on stage in plays on and off-Broadway, at the Kennedy Center, Circle in the Square, roles at The New York Shakespeare Festival including the NYSF’s Shakespeare on Broadway company at the Belasco Theatre and at regional theatres – La Jolla Playhouse, Hartford Stage, ART, Yale Rep. He’s performed off-off Broadway in plays by avant-garde luminaries Jeff Weiss, Mac Wellman, Ron Tavel and others and appeared lately in a revival of Irene Fornes’ “The Danube” presented at The Public Theatre, Princeton University, The O’Neill Center and Trinity Rep.
Christian Baskous’ many audiobooks include titles by Jim Harrison, Devin Murphy, Charles Bukowski, Ben Fountain, Mitch Albom, James Rollins, Jim Fergus, etal.; for Harper Audio, Blackstone, BBC Audiobooks America, McMillan, Audible, Penguin Audio and other publishers…. Richard Ford’s “Between Them”, for Harper Audio, was one of AudioFile Magazine’s “Best Audiobooks of 2017”. His work has been nominated for Audie awards and won a number of Headphones Awards. Recent books include the last seven of James Rollins’ Sigma thrillers (from Harper Audio), the Order of the Sanguines series by Rollins and Rebecca Cantrell, four books by the Canadian author Richard Wagamese from Blackstone and a dystopian epic by Brian Hart titled “Trouble No Man”, also from Harper Audio.
Christian Baskous attended Juilliard (Group 12 grad) and is a member of The Actors Studio. He writes and directs original films, plays and audio.
