Item I - Culture corner:
"Chi Mi Frena In Tal Momento?"
(Sextet from Act II of "Lucia di Lammermoor")
This recording was made in 1908 by Enrico Caruso , Marcella Sembrich , Antonio Scotti, Marcel Journet, Barbara Severina, and Francesco Daddi; it was released by Victor on a single-sided disk for the then-astronomical price of $7.00.

I include it now because it helped inspire a one act play I wrote, "Ten Minutes in a Barroom, or, A Guide To Temperance", which was presented this past spring at one of Libby Emmons and Dave Marcus very enjoyable "Sticky" evenings at Bowery Poetry Club.

Item II - Independent Cinema:
